Legal
Terms
Last updated 23 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Avis Studio website (avis-studio.app), operated by Daniel Werpel, Seukendorf, Germany. By using the site you agree to them.
These website terms are separate from the terms of the Avis Studio workspace app, which you accept when you create an account, and from the purchase terms below.
1. Purchases & Merchant of Record
Paid plans are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Limited acting as our Merchant of Record. This means your purchase contract for a paid plan is concluded with Paddle, who is responsible for the checkout, payment processing, applicable sales tax/VAT, invoicing, refunds and chargebacks, under their buyer terms. Any statutory right of withdrawal, cancellation or refund is handled according to those terms and applicable consumer law.
2. Cookies & analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, which only runs after you actively consent via the cookie banner, and which you can withdraw at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. How this works, what data is processed and the legal bases are described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Use of the website
You agree not to:
- use the site unlawfully or in a way that harms, disables or overloads it;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems;
- scrape, copy or reuse content in breach of the intellectual-property terms below.
4. Intellectual property
The website, its content, design, wordmark and logo are owned by Daniel Werpel or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written consent, except for private, non-commercial viewing.
5. No warranty
The website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the site's availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing on the site is professional, legal, tax or financial advice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Daniel Werpel is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the website. Under German law, liability is not limited for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health, from intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory statutory provisions (e.g. product liability). For slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of a material contractual obligation, and then limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
7. External links
The site may link to third-party websites we do not control and are not responsible for. Following such links is at your own risk.
8. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence. Insofar as permitted, the place of jurisdiction is our registered seat.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the site or the law changes. The current version is indicated by the “Last updated” date at the top.
